Pvt. John H. Cobb - Company I, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted when he was 28 years old on August 9, 1862, at Cambridge, to serve three years. He mustered in as a private on September 4, 1862. On May 3, 1863, he was captured in action at Chancellorsville, Virginia; paroled, no date. He was wounded in action on June 14, 1864, near Pine Mountain, Georgia. Near Lost Mountain, Georgia on June 16, 1864 he was again wounded. He mustered out with the company on June 8, 1865, near Washington, D.C. Died June 20, 1903; age 62. Born in Argyle, New York. Son of John and Doris Cobb (parents born in England). Buried in the Greenwich Cemetery Soldiers' Lot, Greenwich, New York.

Pvt. John Conner - Company I, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted when he was 32 years old on August 9, 1862, at Hebron, to serve three years. He mustered in as a private on September 4, 1862. He mustered out with the company on June 8, 1865, near Washington, D.C. (Also borne as Connor.) Buried in the West Hartford Cemetery, Hartford, New York.

Pvt. Charles Corey - Company I, 123rd New York Vol. Inf. Charles Corey enlisted at age 43 on February 15, 1864, at New Lebanon, to serve three years and mustered in as a private in Company I in April of 1864. He transferred to the 60th New York Volunteer Infantry on June 8, 1865. Buried in the Old Hartford Cemetery in Hartford, Washington County, New York.

Cpl. Gardner I. Dyer - Company I, 123rd New York Vol. Inf. Gardner Dyer enlisted at age 21 years on August 11, 1862, at Cambridge, to serve three years and mustered in as a private in Company I on August 22, 1862. He was promoted to corporal on September 4, 1862. He mustered out with the company on June 8, 1865, near Washington, D.C. Cpl. Dyer passed away on April 20, 1874 and was buried in the Center White Creek Cemetery in White Creek, Washington County, New York.

Pvt. Josiah Fletcher - Company I, 123rd New York Vol. Inf. Lived in north Easton, N.Y., at the time of his enlistment in Cambridge, N.Y., on August 22, 1862. He was 32 years of age. He was wounded May 3, 1863, at the Battle of Chancellorsville by a gunshot to the head. He died May 13, 1896, and is buried in Easton Rural Cemetery, Washington County, New York - Section 3, Lot 23 - with his wife, Mary, and son, Lewis.

Cpl. Jacob Herman - Company I, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Born September 5, 1835 at Schnectady, New York. Enlisted when he was 27 years old on August 22, 1862, at Cambridge, to serve three years. He mustered in as private on September 4, 1862 and was promoted to corporal (date unknown). He was wounded in action at Peach Tree Creek, Georgia, on July 20, 1864. He died of his wounds at a hospital in Albany, New York, on May 6, 1865. Buried in the Woodlands Cemetery, Cambridge, New York.

Pvt. Isaac Stiles - Company I, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted when he was 21 years old on July 28, 1862, at Hartford, to serve three years. He mustered in as private on September 4, 1862. In 1864, he was hospitalized for a hernia at the McDougall Hospital at Fort Schuyler in New York City. He was discharged on May 25, 1865, at the McDougall Hospital, New York Harbor. He died on April 29, 1907 and is buried in the New York Borden Cemetery in Whitehall, New York.
