Sgt. Erasmus B. Beale - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Erasmus B. Beale enlisted as a private on March 3, 1862. He was appointed 5th Sergeant. The December 31, 1863, roll (last on file) shows him present. No later record. He is buried in the Beale Cemetery in Grovetown, Georgia.



5th Sgt. Andrew Jackson Bugg - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Andrew Jackson Bugg was elected as 5th Sergeant on September 10, 1861. He was listed as being in the hospital on December 31, 1862. No later record. The Bugg descendants believe he is buried in the Bugg Cemetery, Grovetown, Georgia, in an unmarked grave.

Pvt. John M. Bugg - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Born September 2, 1831 and died July 18, 1864. William Norrell Bugg is his younger brother. John M. Bugg is buried in the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.

Pvt. Emmons Conner - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Emmons Conner enlisted as a private on March 1, 1862. He was killed at Mechanicsville, Virginia, on June 26, 1862. He is buried in the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.

Pvt. Andrew Edward Inglett - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Andrew E. Inglett enlisted as a private on September 10, 1861. He was captured at Petersburg, Virginia, on August 19, 1864. He was paroled at Point Lookout, Maryland, in 1864. He was received at Venus Point, Savannah River, Georgia, for exchange on November 15, 1864. No later record. He was born February 25, 1836 and died January 28, 1926. He is buried in the Fort Gordon Cemetery #4" aka Reids Chapel Cemetery, Fort Gordon, Georgia.



Pvt. Dennis C. Inglett - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Dennis C. Inglett enlisted as a private on July 21, 1862. The December 31, 1863, roll (last on file) shows him present. No later record. He is buried in the Fort Gordon Cemetery #7" aka Inglett Cemetery, Fort Gordon, Georgia.

2nd Cpl. Thomas Wilkens Glascock Inglett - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Thomas W.G. Inglett enlisted as a private on September 10, 1861. He was elected 2nd Corporal on August 1, 1863. His pension record shows he was wounded in the left hand and had two fingers amputated at Cold Harbor, Virginia, on June 27, 1862. He was wounded in the right foot at Darbytown Road, Virginia, on October 7, 1864. He was furloughed from Jackson Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, in 1864. At the close of the war he was in a hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He was born in Richmond County, Georgia, on February 27, 1839 and died on April 13, 1910. He is buried in the Fort Gordon Cemetery #4" aka Reids Chapel Cemetery, Fort Gordon, Georgia.



Pvt. L. Luke - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. L. Luke enlisted as a private on September 10, 1861. He was captured at Crampton's Gap, Maryland, on September 14, 1862. He was exchanged at Aiken's Landing, Virginia, on November 10, 1862. He died on October 8, 1864 in Richmond and is buried in the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.

Pvt. Christopher C. Morris - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. He was born April 10, 1847 and died June 17, 1929. He was the son of Pvt. Needham William Morris and brother to Pvt. John B. Morris and Pvt. Thomas R. Morris. He enlisted in Company C of the 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry on August 1, 1861. He was wounded on July 5, 1864 during the Battle of Petersburg, Virginia when a shell fragment hit him in the chest, penetrating his lung. He surrendered with Gen. Joseph E. Johnston's army on April 26, 1865 at Durham's Station, N.C., and was paroled on May 18, 1865 in Augusta, Ga. He is buried in the Marvin United Methodist Church Cemetery in Martinez, Georgia.

Pvt. Rayford (Raiford) Gardner Tudor - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Rayfor (Raiford) G. Turod enlisted as a private on September 10, 1861. He surrendered at Greensboro, North Carolina, on April 26, 1865. He was born January 8, 1844. He is buried in the Grovetown City Cemetery in Grovetown, Georgia.

1st Lt. Henry B. Tutt - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Henry B. Tutt was elected as a 1st Lieutenant on September 10, 1861. He was wounded at Malvern Hill, Virginia, on July 1, 1862. He died of his wounds on July 13, 1862. He is buried in the Doyle Cemetery in Grovetown, Georgia.



Pvt. John Welch - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. John Welch enlisted on September 10, 1861. He was on detail at Reserve Commissary in December of 1863. He was captured in Richmond, Virginia. On April 3, 1865, he was listed as being in a hospital and was paroled from there on May 2, 1865. He was born June 8, 1835 in Richmond County, Georgia. He is buried in the Westview Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia.

Sgt. John S. Young - Company C, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. John Young enlisted as a private on September 10, 1861, and was later appointed Sergeant. He died in 1864 and is buried in the Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston, South Carolina.
