Cpl. Robert Alexander - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (22 years old), August 4, 1862, at Jackson, to serve three years. He mustered in as a private on September 4, 1862 and was promoted to corporal on April 1, 1865. On June 8, 1865, he mustered out with the company near Washington, DC. He was born November 7, 1839 and he died April 11, 1911. He is buried in the Old Holly Springs Cemetery in Holly Springs, Arkansas.

Cpl. Henry L. Arnold - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (25 years old), August 4, 1862, at White Creek, to serve three years. He mustered in as a private on September 4, 1862 and was promoted to corporal December 1863. He was wounded in action at Peach Tree Creek, Georgia, July 20, 1864. He mustered out with the company near Washington, D.C. on June 8, 1865. He died April 30, 1895. Buried in the Woodlands Cemetery, Cambridge, New York.

Cpl. Clarence L. Coulter - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (24 years old)on August 4, 1862, at Jackson, to serve three years. He mustered in as corporal on August 19, 1862. He was wounded in action, May 3, 1863, at Chancellorsville, Virginia. He died of his wounds on October 2, 1863, at the Grace Church Hospital. Buried in the Alexandria National Cemetery, Alexandria, Virginia.

Pvt. Hiram Tibbits Gay - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (27 years old) on August 13, 1862 at White Creek to serve three years. He mustered in as a private on September 4, 1862. He mustered out with the company on June 8, 1865 near Washington, D.C. He was born on August 4, 1835 in New York and died on September 16, 1902 (aged 67) in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan. He is buried in the Oakhill Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.

Pvt. Perry A. Goodell - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Perry Goodell was born on August 13, 1817, and died on September 7, 1889. He served in Company G of a New York regiment, but he is not listed in the roster for the 123rd New York Volunter Infantry. Buried in the Old Hartford Cemetery in Hartford, Washington County, New York.

Major Henry C. Gray - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (19 years old) on August 9, 1862, at Salem, to serve three years. He mustered in as Captain on September 4, 1862; On July 30, 1864, near Atlanta, Georgia, he was wounded. He mustered in as Major, February 20, 1865 and mustered out with the regiment on June 8, 1865, near Washington, D.C. Commissioned Captain, September 10, 1862, with rank from August 22, 1862, original; Major, December 22, 1864, with rank from November 19, 1864. Buried in the Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich, New York.

Pvt. W.M. Harrington - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (20 years old) on August 13, 1864, at Cambridge, to serve one year. He mustered in as private on August 23, 1864. He died of typhoid fever on October 3, 1864, at a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Buried in the Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Georgia.

Pvt. Thomas Highland - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (22 years old) on August 9, 1862, at Salem, to serve one year. He mustered in as private on September 4, 1862. He mustered out with the company on June 8, 1865, near Washington, D.C. Also Hiland. Buried in the Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich, New York.


Pvt. James Morrissey - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (23 years old) on August 5, 1862 at Jaskson to serve three years. He mustered in as private on September 4, 1862. He was captured in action on June 22nd, 1864 near Kennesaw Mountain, Georgia during the Battle of Kolb's Farm. He was paroled (no date) and mustered out with the company on June 8, 1865 near Washington, D.C. He was born in 1838 in Ireland and died on September 1, 1902 (aged 63–64) in Bath, Steuben County, New York. He is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Miller, Washington County, New York (Section B Row 12).

Pvt. Albert Rogers - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (21 years old) on August 6, 1862, at Greenwich, to serve three years. He mustered in as private on September 4, 1862 and was discharged for disability on March 27, 1863. Buried in the Greenwich Cemetery in Greenwich, New York.

Cpl. John A. Stevenson - Company G, 123rd New York Vol. Inf. He enlisted at the age of 19 on August 5, 1862, at White Creek, N.Y., to serve three years. He mustered in as a corporal in Co. G on September 4, 1862. He was wounded in action at Chancellorsville, Virginia, in May 1863. He was promoted to sergeant in December 1863 and mustered out with the company on June 8, 1865 near Washington, D.C. Buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, Kansas.

Pvt. Henry Welch - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (23 years old) on September 3, 1862, at Jackson, to serve three years. He mustered in as private on September 4, 1862 and was killed in action on July 20, 1864, at Peach Tree Creek, Georgia. Buried in the Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Georgia.

Pvt. Clark K. Whitaker - Company G, 123rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted (23 years old) on September 1, 1862, at Greenwich, to serve three years. He mustered in as private on September 4, 1862 and died of phthisis on September 19, 1863, at a hospital in Alexandria, Virginia. Also, borne as Clark D. Buried in the Alexandria National Cemetery, Alexandria, Virginia. There is also a stone for him in the Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich, N.Y.
