Col. Archibald L. McDougall - Age, 45 years. Enlisted at Salem, to serve three years, and mustered in as Colonel, August 22, 1862; Commissioned Colonel, September 8, 1862, with rank from August 22, 1862, original; wounded in action, May 25, 1864, near Dallas, Georgia; died of his wounds, June 23, 1864, at officers hospital, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Salem, New York.
